  “I haven’t left this tower in two and a half decades, not for this world.”

  “The world’s missed you, Izzy Vos, it’s missed your smile. And it needs your strength. There’s never been a day more perfect for coming home.”

  With a deep sigh, she stood and made her way to the corner. Grabbing her staff, she crossed the room and wrapped her arms around Luther Brayden.

  “Thank you,” she said.

  “No, thank you.”

  “I have one condition.”

  “Let’s hear it.”

  “I have one last task in A’anglr before I may leave. Would you come with me? It wouldn’t take long were it both of us.”

  He nodded. “Perhaps, but I have a condition as well.”

  “Say it.”

  “You already know it.”

  She hung her head for a long time, before looking up again. When she did, her eyes blazed. “So, are you going to A’anglr dressed like that, or shall I wash your cassock first?”
